Jess Cummings is a New York based director and designer, as well as a cofounder of the upcoming theater group The Attic Collective. Her work focuses on devised, movement based performance. Through performance, she hopes to tell previously told stories in a new light, bringing to the forefront the complex stories of women and marginalized people, whose stories are so often presented as one dimensional. She has been a collaborator with The Assembly, 600 Highwaymen, The Woolgatherers, and Semicolon Theater Company, among others. She is a recent graduate of Wesleyan University, where she studied Theater. For more information about her work, visit jesscummings.org
